Patient didn't pick up? Record the attempt times and move on. That consult doesn't pay, but there's no penalty and the Consulta team squares it with the clinic, not with you.

On the rare occasion a clinic queries an outcome, the single payout waits while the Consulta team reviews it, resolved before the next run, with your side heard. The rest of your money is never touched.
What doctors ask us.
Nothing, ever. No joining fee, no listing fee, no subscription, and nothing deducted from your consult rate. The booking is charged to the clinic. Your rate is paid to you in full.
Most applications clear in a few business days. You upload your documents once (AHPRA details, indemnity certificate, CV, ID) and the Consulta team runs four checks. You can add your specialty, tagline and consult areas, and shape your weekly availability while you wait. The grid goes live to clinics the moment you're verified.
Indemnity cover whose scope extends to telehealth prescribing in the vertical you'll consult in. General in-rooms cover alone doesn't pass the check. Most insurers confirm the extension with a single policy endorsement.
For clinic bookings, the clinic's: they handle acquisition, intake and follow-up, and you present as part of their team on the call. Direct public consults are different: the patient booked you through Consulta, you consult under your own name, and you hold the clinical record.
Yes. Alongside clinic bookings, public patients can book you through Consulta: they are matched to the next available doctor for their topic, and direct consults are phone consults, you call the patient on the mobile they booked with. You are paid the same standard rate either way, and anything you prescribe goes to the patient through your normal channels, outside the platform.
Weekly. Confirm a consult and it joins the next payout run once its short review window passes. Your earnings page shows every payout's state in plain language, and a queued payout is never silently missing.
Yes, from your portal. Availability edits are live to clinics the moment you tap them, and booked slots stay locked until the consult happens or the clinic cancels. Your consult rate is Consulta's standard rate. If it ever changes, existing bookings keep the rate they were made at.
Cancel from your portal any time before the consult starts, with a short reason. Whoever paid is automatically refunded in full and you are not paid for that slot. There is no fee on top, but every cancellation is recorded on your reliability record, so give as much notice as you can. Blocking availability you can't work is always better than cancelling a confirmed booking.
